Setback variance will allow for a more walkable mixed-use development.
ALJ Lindsey worked with the owner and surveyor to get a variance from the City of Houston to the required building setbacks along Washington Avenue, Center and Silver Street for a walkable shopping center spread across three city blocks.
The project involves constructing two buildings, each having two-story heights, with the larger configured in an L-shape and having an area of 43,480 square feet. A 542-space offsite parking lot was also designed for the development.
