ALJ Lindsey was contracted to help engineer the construction of an elevated HEB supermarket in Meyerland Plaza, a project which represented a $21 million investment. This highly complicated project was located in an area where development is rife with complications and red tape. ALJ’s familiarity with the City of Houston’s procedures and staff positioned the project for success.  

The major challenges of this project were the property’s location in the Brays’ Bayou conveyance zone and floodplain, existing public and private utilities and City of Houston coordination. To solve these challenges, ALJ Lindsey engaged with the city’s Engineering Department as well as Code Enforcement.  Close collaboration was also required from the Joint Referral Committee team, the city attorney, Houston’s survey team and meter department and the Storm Water Management team.
